No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, we may shoot with low apertures, and we may take few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus.
We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus. We are doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. We might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment.
With our expertise in processing millions of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best ones.

We have shot at hundreds of venues, so there is a good chance that we have. However, if we have not, we will get to the venue early on the day and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography locations. We also do extensive online research prior to your big day!

The only possible additional cost may be travel expense, and only if you are outside of 50 miles Derby radius – but no worries if you are, just message us, and we will see what we can do for you.

Keep in mind that you’ll be spending a decent bit of time with a photographer. It’s important that the photographer has the right attitude and people skills to connect with you so you are comfortable before the camera in their presence.
This will reflect in your body language, poses, and face micro-expressions. Being photographed does make you feel a bit vulnerable, and Matt is a great, respectful, and fun photographer who will strive to make you feel comfortable and supported during your shoot.

Our retouching style is to clear faces of any imperfections or temporary skin problems. We smooth the skin tone to give our clients a healthy, younger-looking skin if necessary. Most importantly, we want our clients to look natural without letting it feel like they were retouched. We want people to look their best yet still look like themselves.
